I truly love the words from One Republic's song "I Lived." The entire spirit of that song is something I am trying to live by everyday. I've always been a dreamer and go after the things I want. Most recently it has really come to fruition in my career and travel plans. I think it's so important to travel to different places and experience other ways of life. Even within the United States its amazing how many different cultures there are. Through the 3 cross country road tips I have endured and all the different places i've seen, I have grown a true admiration for experiencing a new place. Not to mention, i've gotten that much closer to seeing all 50 states by 30 years old (bucket list item).
In any case, this past New Years, when I found myself with a long weekend in Utah and nothing to do, I decided to take a road trip down to Moab, UT, home of Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park. I hopped in the car, by myself, and drove 4 hours down to the gorgeous scenery. I spent the day seeing the natural beauty, standing at the top of canyons, sometimes completely alone. Anytime I see a natural wonder like this, it just makes me feel so insignificant. It was a wonderful day that I spent with me.
Enjoy some of these great photos and I hope you make it there someday yourself! Definitely worth the visit!
